Adopt A Grandmother For Thanksgiving Project

We want to share with you an exciting opportunity to"Adopt A Grandmother" from Volunteers 4 Good.  Some of the most exciting times we has growing up was went we were able to go over the hills and through the woods to Grandmother's house to share Thanksgiving Dinner with the family and the extended family.  The turkey, the dressing, the pies and cakes, I can smell them even now.

Thanksgiving is only 59 or so short days away.  Now is the time to step up to the plate and "Adopt A Grandma" for Thanksgiving.  For a donation of just $50.00 Volunteers 4 Good will provide a deserving Grandmother a turkey and all the trimmings for Thanksgiving.  This means that someone's Grandmother will not be alone for Thanksgiving 2013.  Grandmother will be able to cook the turkey and dressing and be provided the items needed to make her favorite dishes for Thanksgiving.  Then she will be able to invite all of the family to her house of Thanksgiving and she will be proud she is able to provide such a feast.

Without your help Grandmother may not be able to invite the family to her house for Thanksgiving because she does not have the extra money to buy a turkey to host a family Thanksgiving dinner.

Let's make Thanksgiving special this year for as many Grandmothers as possible.  

Days Are Getting Shorter

As I was outside last night I noticed the days are getting shorter and that means it is time to begin to draw this summer to a close.  Our summer 2013 project of providing assistance to deserving widows and gone well but now we find ourselves with more requests for assistance than we have the funds to distribute.  Maybe today you have been contacted by one of our volunteers and have made your way to see what Volunteers 4 Good is all about.  We hope you will enjoy your visit to our blog and we hope you will make a donation to help us finish our summer utility assistance program on a high note.  We want you to know that your donation will be greatly appreciated and we will use it to help one or more deserving widows.  Thanks for your time and your donation and remember, "We are Volunteers 4 Good."

Do Not Wake Me Up From This Dream

Wow! How time flies, I did not realize how long it had been since I wrote a new blog.  Maybe I won't be gone this long again.  Anyway, back to my topic, please do not wake me from this dream.  The dream of Volunteers 4 Good is still alive in 2013 as we celebrate 10 years of service to our community.  We hope some of our new friends and volunteers will find themselves reading this latest blog and find themselves making a donation to help keep the dream alive.  Maybe you got an email from us or maybe you read one of our posts about one or more of our latest projects, we want you to get involved.  Your donation of $10.00 or more will go a long way in helping us meet our summer goals.
