Volunteers, Volunteers, Volunteers are the best!

There has been so much damage with the recent Tornadoes in Arkansas, Tennesse, Mississippi, and other places that many, and I say many Volunteers have been out there everyday helping to remove trees and debris, along with feeding those in need.  Our country runs on a daily basis by a massive force of Volunteers who volunteer to help others in need.

Volunteers 4 Good is a completely Volunteer organization from the top down.  We use volunteers to help widows and others to get minor projects done around their homes, inside and out.  Today's writing is a shout out to all volunteers all across these United States.

Thanks to all volunteers wherever you are, keep up the good work and let's go to work.

August Project Is Underway!

Well the Dog Days of Summer are here again and our volunteers are busy in and out of the hot temperatures.  We have some outside grass cutting and weed eating projects going on and we are thankful for the volunteers who are helping us with these important projects.  Our main project for August is to provide funding and assistance for a widow who just celebrated her 91st birthday.  She is not able to live alone and we have providing assistance with someone to stay with her to make sure she eats and takes her medicine on time.  She is one of those who has trouble with her memory.  We make sure she gets plenty of good meals to eat, but almost every night about an hour after she has had a wonderful evening meal, she wants to know if we are going to eat.  This is a very expensive but important adventure and we are looking for volunteers to make a financial donation to help us with these expenses.  We hope everyone will add us to your prayer list, that God will supply all of our needs according to his riches in glory.  Thanks everyone for making sure Volunteers 4 Good continues to provide assistance to Real People with Real Needs.

The Clock Is Ticking And We Want You To Help Us Beat The Clock

We just talked to the people at the utility service and they said this account (Janice) is scheduled to be cut off within the next 48 hours.  We just talked to Janice and she is upset, but is counting volunteers to step up and help with this important project before it is too late.  We need just 40 people to make a donation of $10.00 or more and this need will be met before this day is over.  You can help us by sharing this post and by making a donation and challenge your fiends to do the same.  When this need is met we can all enjoy our freedoms and the 4th of July weekend more.  You be the one who makes a difference.

Volunteer Project For The Week Of July 1 2014

Volunteer project for this week is to raise funds for our Summer Beat The Heat Program, that provides assistance to widows with their summer utility bills.  Our first project is to provide assistance to Janice, (not her real name) who is facing having her electricity cut off in just a few days unless we can help her with paying the bill.  Approximately $400.00 is needed to complete this important project, your volunteer donation of $10.00 or more is greatly appreciated.  We take great pride in screening everyone who asks for assistance.  We make sure they have a genuine need and not just living month to month off the generosity of others.  Each widow can receive assistance only once during a 12 month period unless there is an approved emergency.  Janice has had some extra expenses in paying for insurance and plumbing repairs and has gotten behind on her utility bill.  We are praying for good people to step up to the plate and help us hit a home run and keep the electricity and the air conditioner on all summer for Janice.  The temperature in West Tennessee is in the 90's with the Heat index need 100.  It is very important for us to be able to meet this need.

The Sun Has Finally Come Out Again! Hope This Is A Good Sign

Maybe some of the really cold temperatures are now in our rear view mirror.  Hopefully, warmer temps and sunshine will allow us to get outside and begin to clear away some of the damage for the ice storm and the winter itself.  As I sit here thinking about all of the limbs and leaves that still need to cleared from the yard, I cannot help but think all the widows who have no one to help them with this project.  Think about what it would be like to be a widow looking at downed limbs and storm damage and having no one to help get this cleaned up.  This widow may be your neighbor or my neighbor and they need a hug and a helping hand.  We hope that you will volunteer to help with one of these important projects today.  It will warm your heart to help someone with a project they cannot do.  I a m convinced the world still has a bunch of really good people who want to help.  Contact us for more information on becoming a volunteer.  Spring please do not be to long in coming!
